It is somewhat flimsy, but the saving grace is if it does get bent, throw it down on the sidewalk and a few well placed hammer blows and it will fit right back up.
Damn! Scott just said nearly the same thing.
I like to review this thread from time to time becuse this is where the Early Belly Pan project began. Then, recently, and reading this post again, it occurred to me that one thing that might be a possibility in regard to road rash damage to one of my pans, I might very well be able to put a damaged one back into my dies and reform it at least back to close to its original shape. I'm not particularly anxious for anyone to need that, but I will be anxious to try it when and if the need arises. My Pans are much heavier that the originals and quite stout so I doubt that anyone will be able to hammer them back into shape on the sidewalk.
If I am able to do that I think it can be offered as an additional service for a nominal price which will be much less that the cost of a replacement.
I hope to see Jerry's next after market product. So far everyone product I have seen or personally own has been impressive. . While we still all have different opions and or views the aftermarket products still help our 928 preservations.
