i'm i missing a "important" part ?
I see 2 supports under my '82 car ( each 2 bolts) just after the bellhousing …. i suspect it is for a oem bridge with exhaust supports ?
Cannot find it on parts lists...

You are missing a part there but I don't think it does anything for the exhaust. It mainly adds strength and supports the heat shields.

 

i think i found it under "chassis" parts but NLA.... and no pic…. anyone have a pic of it ?

i think i make at least a support on those to connect ( chassis strength ) and support the exhaust against grounding. We welded a skid plate to the first dampers but if this takes a ground hit , the forces would be to the engine/headers bolts. Better that support for rallying.....

 

the part your missing is the forward chassis brace it also will have 2 holes in it for the heat shield slide on nut plates.
928 INTL will have used parts that will work perfectly

 

The cross member is 928 501 901 05 and four M8x20 bolts 999 075 032 02.

 

stupid me... somewhere i thought that my '90 GT parts car didn't had it also anymore… checked it first thing in the morning and .. there it was ! Must have remembered another part.
Half hour later is was on the rally car . Me happy.
