I may have a line on an OE henweigh (it's a crescent henweigh, BTW), but the seller wants $43.29. Is that too much?

The price is dependent on how much the henweighs...............

Well someone had to do it or Ernest would pop.........

MBMB, the OE pliers for your car have a red coating on the handle and as someone has pointed out the screwdriver has a yellow handle. It looks like you have the screw driver blade though, and ar only missing the handle that it inserts into.

Nicole, I beg to differ :-) My two very original '87 S4's came with red-handled pliers. They fit like a glove.

And for anyone who cares about flip-up or non-flip-up, I owned 1385 and 1401. 1385 had a flipper, 1401 had none. Beat that for unusual, coincidental Porsche 928 trivia :-)

The straight line is "what's a henweigh?"

My lug wrench has always been located behind the tool tray with the jack. Not sure how they came from the factory, though.

Default nasty hen

That nasty hen ran off with our pliers Nicole. And now I must worry about it . All along I thought I had a complete tool kit ..........I'm going to a psychiatrist because of this.

p.s.: Wait.....no need to be upset......heinrich claims my pliers are original...both of them have red handles with a tight fit. I am in ecstasy. I no longer must hold my head in shame for I too have an original tool kit. Oh happy day.

If you look at the spare towards the front of the car, there is a specially-created spot for the wrench in the plastic spare container ..... that is where all mine have been. And no, I don't know for sure if the factory shipped them there.

Was'nt there a safety triangle and gloves that tucked in with the tool kit.
I know I don't have them in my car but I saw someone selling some on Ebay.
Anyone know if they were originally there or did the "HEN" eat them.

My '91 German spec GT came with the folding safety triangle and the associated orange plastic holder/container. No gloves, however.

Jim:

Yes, on the way to your shop one day on Hwy. 10 somewhere in Arizona my throttle rod broke loose from the valve under the plenum. I spent some time in triple digit heat on the side of the road repairing it the hard way: I removed the intake runners. I had a nice chat with a gentleman representing the law enforcement profession who stopped to ask if I was allright. I finally figured out that I could have simply removed the air filter housing and reached in under the plenum. I wired the linkage to the bellcrank and set out again toward your shop.... but it took me another day to get there. Then I got an replacement throttle linkage rod from you.
