Next order of business are the inop back up lights.
Now that I know I'm dealing with a 5 speed harness in a automatic I need to get the dangling blue wire to a wire shared by both back up lights.
The blue wire runs to 87 on the reverse lights relay XXII.
Need to find the point where the BL/BK wires in the harness split and go to the back up lights.
Fun fun fun.

Reverse lights have been restored. I ran a blue/black wire from the DS tail light harness to the l blue line above.
