How would i test shocks

The point referenced to in the photos on the spreadsheet in my Signature?? Your description is vague.

Check shocks the same way any shock for 60-80yrs gets tested.

As far as doing a bounce test by pressing on a front fender this is rather hard to do on the front of a 928
since your also moving the LCA rubber bushings so you may not really be able to move the car much.

NOTE its better to drive the car it will tell you if the dampening has gone away.

I feel more bumps than I want. New tires have helped a bit. I wonder how much replacing upper control arms help.they look ok
