Info on 85/86 32v, when compared to 87+ 32v

I just finished bringing the 85 engine home. What an ordeal.
First, it's raining on and off here (San Francisco/Bay Area) and this is an all outdoor situation, what a pain. Second, the engine has all it's accessories, so it's so heavy that it was lifting the back wheels of the engine lift off the ground. If I raised the boom higher, it would have flipped forward from the pull; I had it low so the engine would rest on the ground before flipping lift. I had to hang on the back while my friend pushed the host and engine into place.
This engine needs to get on the Atkins diet, lol. Good thing I have a plan for this.

Abdul

I might whip up a couple of wheeled engine cradles, rather than a stand. I do have my 16v engine on a three leg and it's been holding fine, but I think the 32v engine with all it's accessories will be way too much, as you are pointing out. I like the idea of a 4 wheel cradle for just storing these engines, less chance of the engine falling.

other differences: 85/86 has shorter valves than 87 & later, head cc's are different also...there's another thread about that here somewhere...compression issues arise if you try to swap heads...sounds like fun...
