Dave,

Be careful with the Hall sensor it's a semiconductor device.

Here's a picture of the throttle switch (from the L jet book by Bosch)

Bernard is spot on about the function of the Hall sensor

Default And the answer is....

... the WOT switch is fully functional. The WOT contact was in fact closing the circuit at the exact rotation angle that the pin touched the nut.

At this point the only thing wrong with the WOT circuit was that the positive connector was thoroughly gummed-up. That was probably the reason the test at the ECU connectors failed. Also, the switch was adjusted so that the idle contact was closed through about 10-degrees of throttle travel.


So, after checking harness continuity to the MAS, the intake goes back on. And then it's on the Hall sender.
