RDK is ancient tech, if you don’t run your stock wheels you will have to by-pass the RDK system.

+1 My RDK is actually fully functioning on my '93 GTS. The '90 GT has maybe three wheel sensors that are bad. At $400+ each, I bypassed the system.

Intersting. What was the failure mode of so many sensors? Though old technology, I find the system quite robust.

Consequently, I would not just delete the system, if you are using factory wheels. I know for a fact that stock wheels are still available.

Now, if you just want bigger non-stock wheels, then you are basically obliged to bridge the system.

I am not aware of a modern TMPS system that will plug-and-play with the TPMS display that is in ‘89+ clusters.

The TMPS system of the 928 - called RDK - relies on having two ~1 inch holes in each wheel barrel in which one-half of the “sensor” system in mounted. The rest of the system is mounted on each corner of the suspension. It is the automotive equivalent of a vacuum tube-based computer.
