Damn Gary, that's a stunning car. Absolutely beautiful. Let me know if/when you list it on BaT.

Another question - SOLVED:
I want to bench test the CR-1. The speaker outputs are labeled, so I should be good there, but I'm not sure the proper way to connect the unit so that it powers up.

Thinking that simply connecting the first two larger spade +/- terminals would do it, I tried that, but it didn't power up. I'm guessing that I need to connect power to "Permanent voltage", but what about "Anti-theft-switch"? There's also a small trigger switch at the top of the unit that looks like it might disable the power if the unit is pulled. I assume that should be pressed down....

UPDATE - It powered up with the "Permanent voltage" connected.

Ground the left most terminal, +12V to both the switched (15 bus) big terminal and the permanent (30 bus) small terminal. I don't think the trigger on the top of the chassis makes any difference for bench testing.

BTW, if you're up for a little road trip in your 968 down to Sterling VA over the weekend of 9/28, you should join your 928 brethren at the 928 Frenzy! Aside from you and your 968 being welcome with open arms, one of the sponsors & the guy who hosts the event Daryl, would love to see you and your car. He's a 968 nut & aficionado. He's also a concours-level detailer (Odds & Ends Detailing) If anyone will appreciate the beauty and rarity of the 968 finished in Tahoe Blue, it would be Darryl.
All of the information relating to the Frenzy and the link to register is in my sig.
I would love that road trip, but have already registered and planned to be at the Porsche Auction in Dayton, Ohio by RM/Sotheby's that day... From what I understand, a long time Porsche aficionado passed away and all of his cars and memorabilia are being auctioned off that day.

JP,
Arrived back home from the trip. Verified I have the CD-2 radio with code. Packaged up to bring to Frenzy. See you there.

JP,

You asked me to let you know when the 3.0 CS was listed on BAT. It is now 'live'. Here's a link: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19..._placed_seller

See you this weekend (I'll be driving a 'dark side' light blue convertible. CD-2 is in a box in the trunk.

Thanks Gary.
Following on BaT. GLWS. Letting that beauty go must be a tough thing to do. The upgrades/treatments to that car are so perfectly & tastefully done. Reminds me of Eagle's interpretation of the E-Type.
Hopefully the new owner gives it the same care that you have. It certainly deserves it.
