Default Belt guide washer at Crank - changed ?

Doing belt change, ordering parts and getting advice, my local wrench reminds me to check state of these washers - 928.102.125.02. Curiously they are not the same. The newer cleaner looking one has a distinctly curved edge, where the older one is just bevelled at the edge, which is showing signs of contact with the belt.. in the 1983 model section its listed as for 85 up models, but the part no doesnt change from 79 ro 95. Anybody noticed this before, know anything about a change?

I can confirm your observations. Other than that I got nothin’. I don’t see enough pre-‘87s to have formed a data-driven opinion other than: I’ve never found the ‘almost-flat washers’ on ‘87+.

Superseded part numbers do ‘disappear’ from PET.

Thanks. getting a new late type tomorrow so they will be the same. Have seen a few cases lately of part numbers NOT changing, but the part being different - eg the steel and alloy oil pump gears have the same part no.
