Default Car Shipping Carrier Referrals???

Has anyone had a good or great experience with a car shipping company to where you wouldn’t mind sharing the carrier’s name? I’m currently looking for a good one to go to Florida from Oklahoma.

I found a site called UShip that has a ton of carriers, but I have no experience going to another state, just in state.

Thank you!

I used U-ship to ship my 928 from Knoxville to Seattle. Horrible experience. U-ship lets independent shippers bid on jobs. They don't have their own trucks. Once a job is awarded basically you are at the mercy of the shipper for communication. In my case I was convinced my car was lost and would never show up because the shipper never returned my calls or emails. U-ship was unable to get a hold of the shipper for me and offed very little customer service. When my car did arrive the flat steel web on the passenger side LCA was bent from them using it to ratchet down the car on the flat bed. I'll never use them again.

When I purchased my Phaeton I had it shipped from Philly using CarsArrive. Very good experience. They where professional and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I would use them again.

Stay away from brokers - most are. Go with Intercity or Reliable, both rennlist sponsors (and will give you a discount). I've used Intercity a couple of times - always enclosed and wrapped; they own their own trucks and the drivers are their employees. A bit more expensive but worth it. Or just drive it home, or rent a trailer from U-Haul and bring it in yourself (I've done that too).

I used Peluzzo Exotic Transport. They are a white-glove operation that only carries two cars max at a time. My 928 was the only thing in the trailer when I used them, though. They gave me a better price than any of the brokers or other major players. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Hoi - yes, to clarify, Intercity Lines. They are a rennlist sponsor.

I tried to use them for my 928 but they told me that Knoxville to Seattle was not a route they did.

That's strange. I know for sure they go as far as Missouri east coast wise

I struck out with both Reliable and Intercity on a transport from S. Florida to Denver. Not sure if that is a route they never do or just wouldn't at that point in time. Went with a brokered carrier and it all worked out just fine. Arrived promptly, no hassles. YMMV.

Auto Shipping Group has the best rate of the three that are preferred here. Closed Carrier is $1.2 versus $1.5 and $1.7, respectively.

I need to confirm that I contacted the correct ASG though, this is the website I found:
