Looking to Trade 930S Steering Wheel for a stock Burganty 4 Spoke
I'm selling my '86.5 928 Manual, the buyer wants the original Four Spoke (stock) steering wheel installed.
I've checked w/ 928 International and they are out of great shape four spoke's in burganty.
Looking for a four spoke Wheel of same color and some cash for a direct bolt on swap, as I'll include the correct mounting hardware for a 928.
Cash depend on condition of your wheel
Thank you,
Dave K

I've got a burgundy wheel on my 85 with option code M018 elevated hub. I recovered it a number of years ago, so the leather is still in good shape. I can get you some pics this evening if you like.

If the leather and stitching are in great shape and or new, and if it has the Extended Hub option, yes, I'd do an even swap.
New owner to pick up car in two weeks from now.
Thank you for the replies,

Here are a couple pics of my steering wheel. Not sure if it meets the standard you're looking for. There is a bit of wear on the rim, primarily on the left side where the die appears to be a little thin. the stitching on the rim is in great shape, but the stitching on the top and bottom of the hub has deteriorated over time (I didn't replace this when I recovered the wheel). This is on the 85 I got hit in, so I'm happy to swap if you don't find a better candidate, but not wanting to invest any additional funds into this car. I also have some color plus burgundy leather die, which could be used to refresh the wheel, but wanted to to represent the wheel in it's current state.

Thank you Simon for posting up the pic's, I'll speak to the guys at Classic 9 leather shop today and see it that can be re-stitched w/o doing the entire wheel, the extra leather and color matching extended hub is a plus too!
Kevin what is your expected turn around time for your wheel to get recovered, two weeks sounds aggressive to me, thoughts?
Thank you both for the offers

I really want that steering wheel, though. I have a 930S in black, but I would l would prefer not to re-dye it.

Kevin, if Dave ends up wanting mine, I'm good with a 3 way trade. Dave can have my 4 spoke, you can have his 930S in burgundy and I'll take your your 930S in black. Feel free to encourage Dave in any way you feel warranted based on your desire for the burgundy 930S.

Just spoke w/leather shop, est is 80 bucks to redo that hub w/in the next two weeks, I'll do the three way switch as above any chance on you two splitting that cost?
Should of posted a current pic of my wheel, I had the Porsche crest added by Classic 9 Leather shop while I was getting the car repainted.
I just took this pic.

Picture of mine. Crest is embossed and the steering wheel diameter is smaller than stock. Is that true for the one you are offering? Not a fan of badges. Can it be removed without damaging the underlying leather?

The wheel is a stock 930S and it is smaller than the stock 4 spoke, the badge was placed over the embossing, I'm thinking it was glued over it.
I'll ask how they do it.
Sorry about that Kevin
