Default Can't remove instrument pod

The allen bolts are slightly stripped....not totally but not quite there. Any solutions to break them loose? I need to remove to re-do my dash cover which was never put on correctly and to look at light bulbs etc.

Are you using a metric sized allen wrench?

When that happens to me I hammer in a slightly oversize allen wrench into the partially stripped socket. Of course that means you have the replace the bolt.

When I removed my pod I found those have something like locktite on the threads. You might try heating the bolt with something like a large soldering iron to see if it will loosen that way.

I had the same thing happen to me. I ended up having to drill out the bolt and use an easy out. I replaced this with a simple hex head bolt.
