Rear License Plate Lights
Can anyone tell/show me where the license plate lights are fed from physically? i can't for the life of me remember. i need to find mine.. my car had corrosion in the housings so they were disconnected, but i can't feel them up in the bumper cover. do they run through the spare tire well/fuel sender area?
i see wiring diagrams but can't physically find the wires.
TIA

The wires are fed through the rear body panel. There is a body plug that the wires are fed through to ensure proper sealing. Disconnect the wires from the lights, then pull the wires through with the body plug included. The body plug can be found on the passenger side of the rear body panel. To access the rear body panel, just pull the cover that houses the factory tool kit.
If you're doing this work on your Euro, then you'll need to disconnect the rear fog(s) too.

Thank you, think I found them. Unfortunately my Euro was sold a couple years back. This is my US model that I'll be selling, but I want to make sure things are whole before I list it. Thanks again.

the ground is there in the back corner under that panel....maybe clean it while you are at it...that solved the mysteries related to all of the lights on the back end of my car.
