decode a vin # 79, 928
Vin number for 1979 Porsche 928. #9289102404. I am told there are suppose to be 10 numbers, but this is what I have. It is Red exterior with a chocolate brown dash and seats, tan carpet. Owner says it is a rest of the world model? I'm new to Porsche so I'm trying to get information. ny help would be appreciated

It's a Euro spec 1979 car, # 2404.
