Door window glass removal
The Passenger side window motor failed with the window down...I've got the interior panel and vapor barrer off but how do I get the window glass up so I can remove the mortor?? The window motor 'thumps' when activated in each direction but won't move up. I do have power at the motor....This motor has been running slower & slower for a while...Past time to take it out and clean it..But I have to get the window up first.....Anyone have an idea how to do this? Thanks...

My guess is you will have to unbolt the motor from the door and wrestle the assembly up to get to the 4 bolts that secure the glass to the window regulator.

To remove the window disconnect the wire harness from the window motor
put a mark spot where the four bolts that hold the window lift assembly are.
remove the four bolts then slide the assembly forward and the wheel should come out of the lift slot in the window
at that point you should be able to push the window all the way up
take some tape and tape the window in the up position wrap the tape around the top of the door in a few spots of the window can fall
uI would replace the motor brush holder with new parts
I would also remove the round friction button from the assembly pull it straight out
Sandown the wave washer that's underneath it and put some silicone grease on the wave washer so it will prevent it from rusting
and push the button back into position
this will reduce the friction on the window left arm assembly and allow the window to travel at a faster speed
also lubricate the pivot arm ,you may need PB blaster first and then a heavier oil once it gets freed up
