Default 928 s4 original shocks

When I bought my -87 928 for some years ago, it came with adjustable shocks. I did not give it much thoughts, but I thought they were originals. Today when I got it back from the mechanic (the national vehicle approval) - EU control , they said that since the adjustables are not noted in the certificates of title, they have to go.

I just wonder if the 928 in 1987 original came with adjustable shocks. According to the PET, I see adjustables.

When you say "adjustable", are you referring to ride height (coil spring seat threaded collar) adjustment, or are you talking shock damping adjustment? it would have had height adjustment but not damping adjustment.

Then yes, they are the standard equipment on your 87.

You could also show him the ride height adjustment instructions in the WSM. I'm away from my books until Monday but I'm sure someone could post the correct pages if you don't have them.
