Default The Squeeeeaky Dash

Hello. Wondering if I'm the only one or if anyone has experienced this before and or found solutions...

Doing down the road my dash squeaks at points where vinyl meets vinyl... All of a sudden I feel like I've posted about this before. Anyways,,, it can be annoying as heck. My girlfriend is calling "BlackBerry",,, "LilSqueaker"... It ain't funny, lol

Specifically, at the passenger door area, where the door meets the dash,,, and around in there - here and there... Anyway to retrain or remould, making space for the areas that are coming into contact that have worked...?

Silicon spray. Doesn't smell bad, won't ignite, won't hurt plastic or leather.
Lots of uses, not recommended for the bedroom.

Instead of spray lube go for a protectant spray like Aerospace 303.

It wont degrade interior components and will protect them from UV rays as well as providing light lubrication to the offending areas.

It's usually the lever under the steering wheel that allows you to raise and lower the steering wheel and cluster. Just need to rotate the end of the handle about 1/2 inch away from contact.

So,,, I wrote my loooong OP at work. Sorry for all the jibber jabber. Anywho,

While at work yesterday I had taken a fold of cardboard and placed it in the space between the the door and dash. Slammed door. Hoping to change the shape of things. Got out of work yesterday and drove home with them both in place. Left them overnight,,, a damp rainy night - then got (and took) the advice y'all offered this AM... To begin and as a test, and don't laugh, I took out the CBoard and applied a shhhmeeear of >>> wait for it >>> shea butter!!! Worked! Great! I'll be getting a better lube from the ideas offered here. No doubt. Thank you all!

Drove in this AM just to hear other spots, revealed due to the louder spots having gone quiet, lol! So yes, a little more chasing and a little more lube. Cardboard spacers for another some days. The steering wheel advise helped too! All good stuff - squeeeeaks are on my radar!

As is a damn Magic Blower.... Then, 100 other things

Thanks all!
