Default Cruise Control Mod for LED Brake Lights

I came across this image when going through some files on a zip drive a fellow rennlist member gave to me and I am wondering if someone could provide some context on this modification. I am running LED's on my S4 brake lights, I retained the incandescent bulb in the third brake light to preserve the cruise function and have done the bulb monitor defeat modification as well.

I am curious if there is a mod that would allow my cruise to function and have the LED third brake light.

Hi Michael,
I think they sell relays like you picture with the diode built in. If that is a good mod then that type relay might make it easier. I found my LED brake lights were causing FM radio static. Even though this might have been fixable by applying an RF choke to each light cable, I just went back to incandescents. How much difference do the LED's make in that function?
Good luck,
Dave

Add a resistor. But. That rather defeats the plan.

Also, imho, a normal bulb I think fills that leans better than an element led.
