Is there a resource for finding out what radios were original to th 928 in each year ?

specifically I have an 82.

Post your VIN to the decoder thread, and you'll get all the options and fitments as the car came from the factory, including the radio.

There seem to be many exceptions as Porsche used up old stock and years tend to have some changes on the run. Plus various options could be selected so the Vin check is a great verification tool if you want to be sure to buy the right radio. With prices for original radios going through the roof, buying the right one the first time is important!

My 1988 S4 (11/87) came with CD-2 (Code 691).
