Default New Product: Composite Chin Splitter for 1987-95 928

This product has been about a year and development, and now very happy to report that it is in stock and ready to ship.

BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Greater air flow (and cooling) for the radiator and engine oil cooler
Front downforce
Modern Good Looks
Special Protection plates included

The kit install on the driveway in just a few hours, and everything you need is included.

Very Durable. Made from MC2p composite, this stuff can "take a licking and keep on tickin" Honestly, I slammed mine into a curb stop by accident and was amazed there was no damage except the curb rash on the bottom of the nose. Ne breaks, no issues. Tough stuff!

Replaces part number 928-505-071-20-70B which has been discontinued for 1987-89 model cars. Also replaces part number 928-505-071-21-70B for 1990-95 models. So if your valance panel (under the front bumper) is missing or all beat up and cracked, you might want to consider replacing it with this one rather than buy another stock part that will crack again.

Nice looking piece. Is there an adapter/flange/connector to use the engine undertray? That's the five small holes at the rear lip of the stock piece in your picture. In service, the undertray supports and protects the rear edge of the spoiler, plus it limits the chances of getting the spoiler "hooked" over a parking bumper or similar.

Maybe pop a coolant drain opening, and add a rubber or plastic chassis plug to fill the hole between services.

Looks good!

That's not a bad idea. I can do that.

As to the the way the OEM part attached to the front of the belly pan with 5 screws, our part reaches back under the engine much further (see picture above), and is a little lower too, so that the new chin splitter extends back and under the front of the belly pan. The engine belly pan attaches to the frames on the L and R as before, and the center is supported by just laying on the chin splitter. They overlap.
