Careful reading of the WSM regarding final adjustments to the DD clutch will reveal an adjustment option that will activate rear seat movement electric or manual.

I've used mine a decent amount.

The statement:

Back seats in a 928 (or 944) are for:

Kids
Groceries
People you don't like very much.

Is quite accurate, in my experience.

I fit a couple of 15 year olds in the back of the 944. Very little extra room.
I fit a 11 & 8 year old in the back of the 928. Passenger seat had to go forward 'cuz the 11 year old was fairly tall and her legs needed a bit more room
I fit a 'not large' adult male (5'10". 175#) in the back for a 1 1/2 hour ride home one time. His wife had brought him down on Friday, planning on returning on Sunday to hang out and take him home. She got sick. So he was stuck. It was tight, he was a bit squished & uncomfortable, but it beat walking.
