I can confirm that was the needed fix on the door! just need a millimeter adjustment and now closes really tight and no water from that side. Thank you!

Now working on the leak by the hatch lock mechanism on the hatch. When I removed the hatch lock itself, I saw that the gasket was torn. Good news is that i accidentally ordered one a long time ago and still had it. Now that is installed, but I am still getting the leak. water must be getting in the hatch itself somewhere and leaking out of the inside edge of the lock hatch plate that touches near the seal.

I just did another test and may have found the leak which is now pretty obvious.

When I tested running water done the middle of the trunk lid windshield, it was fine for a few seconds, and then water started shooting out of the inside center. I opened the lid and saw it coming out of the lock mechanism.

I then wondered how water was getting into the hatch body, and then I saw the wipers.

There is no cover gasket on the right wiper

Water must be getting in there and that is what is pouring out of the lock mechanism.
