Default '82/'84 cat-back original exhaust onto an OB ('78/'79)

I am planning to bring my '82 or '84 (IIRC: same system) exhaust system behind the catalytic converter to my muffler shop to replace the current ANSA on my petrol blue '79.

Due to the minor revisions to the rear muffler pipes to compensate for the battery box attachments between '78 vs '79, I am wondering if it is possible to attach the original '81-84 cat back exhausts (mid-reasonator, rear muffler) onto the '79 without too much revisions, if any?

thank you for any and all help-Hoi

Should fit just fine, clearing the battery box and all.
Uses the same hangers on the '79 too.
'78 would require a basic mod to utilize the 78-only rear hanger.

Hoi, I did this on my 79. Direct fit with no modifications My shields were removed for mine and the 81 shields fit perfectly as well
