Default 1984 Euro Soft Clutch Pedal Help

The clutch pedal seems to 'lose' pressure after the car sits for an a couple of hours and gives the feeling of an air bubble. However, if I pump the pedal several times it firms right back up and is good to go and stays that way until the car sits again. (Please note, the slave has already been replaced and I've bled the $#%$# out of it with a Motiv Power bleeder.) Once the pedal has been pushed 2-4 times, it drives as expected. It's been like this since I've had it. But now that I have a bay freed up, I can work on it. Thoughts? ideas? I appreciate the help!

Brad, I would suggest you replace the MC and the slave and the black feed hose and the release arm bushing,
and get a Greg brown flex line to replace the factory hard line and flex hose, that mounts at the sway bar link and goes to the slave
and a liter of ATE Gold fluid
You might ask why?
Why not upgrade the whole system so all you have to do is drive it.

Brad,
I agree w Stan. Mine was doing the same exact thing, turned out to be the Slave.
We should have done it all while we were in there, but I”m sure we’ll get around to it at some point.

So I finally was able to get the car up in the air and look underneath. I am seeing some seeping /wet right under the collar on the black soft hose. I am like, WTF as I just put a 'new' one on 2 years ago <4k miles. Then I looked at the other end of the hose where it starts to go over the starter and the rubber on top was literally flaking off....uggh...

I looked at the MCM inside and outside and it was completely dry. Slave was already new. So I am going with Greg brown's hose first....I'll report back later...

quick update on this one this thread.

The final fix was replacing the weeping black soft clutch hose with Greg Brown's upgrade and replacing the release arm bushing. The bushing had deformed preventing the arm from fully seating.

Stans procedure for the bushing worked really well also.
" I will take a dremel and with a sanding drum open the hole just lil bit ,
this makes it easier to push the bushing onto the ball.
then toss the bushing into some very hot water.
put a dab of DC111 into the ball cup and use a prybar to push it onto the ball.
With the slave cylinder removed from the release arm"

Reverse bled the slave clutch and then put the the power bleeder on and it all worked. Yeah!
