Early 928 manual trans rebuilt with LSD for sale
I have an early 28/03 928 transmission for sale that has been gone through twice. Once by me and second time by Greg brown.
Replaced:
cage bearings
synchros on all gears
slider rings (important distinction)
stop blocks
LSD unit has been rebuilt and adjusted
all seals
shift shaft
shift detent spring
3500.00
shipping from SoCal.
(edit: Had some questions as to "why". I had planned on building a 78 with my son that I have. TT, engine, and trans were all rebuilt. Car is painted, and long time members know the shell. I have a leather interior, and an ECU, etc all ready. Kid doesn't really actually care. Really does not care about cars. Maybe if they look good or have good speakers. So I am changing paths. Sometimes you realize that this is just for yourself and that's okay. )

It has been powder coated black. Because it’s cool.
I can can also add in a rebuilt torque tube for a small amount that has been rebuilt as well.

Exceptional deal as you sometimes will find units need gears as well when you open them up.

Boy would I love to purchase them, but I need/want to preserve the numbers-matching aspect of #338....

It's always car parts season.
$3500 for a thoroughly sorted GB early box, G28.05 (should confirm 100%) so it fits 80-95 without swapping TT and crossmember, known good input shaft bearing, synchros and shift sleeves, (Go price 5 synchros and 3 shift sleeves.....) with no waiting and no core charge? Wish I needed one.

This is a great price. I just spent that on parts alone a few months back and several months to rebuild....
