Ok, this shows how perceptions can vary.

I read it as "Horn" (One item) & "Indicator Reset" (2nd item).

I think (not totally sure because I don't have one of these) that the brass ring on the lower pic is the horn contact and the little white protrusion on the other side (between the 2 stickers in the upper pic) is the 'finger' that hits the turn signal cancel on the multi switch.

These are done with the piece that attaches to the bottom of the steering wheel hub on non-airbag cars. PET calls it a "Slip Ring" 928 347 028 00

Ha! You are right. Totally different perceptions, but yours is definitely the correct one on this. I agree. That brass ring is the horn contact.

What are we talking about?

A 928 parts purveyor posted a picture of the part in post # 6. I presume that was prima facie a portent to the OP that the part could be purchased.

Possibly. Or perhaps it was a promotional photo, prompted by the posters ponderings on the potential parts proposition.

Clockspring

WOW!!! Quite a site! Thanks to everyone helping a novice on this. I did source a clockspring through 928 International and I should have it within 5 days. Unfortunately I have another question - after driving for a few minutes after start up the idling when stopped at a light wants to surge or pulsate until the rpms drop to a stall. I'm having to keep my foot on the accelerator and brake at the same time to move when a light changes. We've checked for any vacuum issues and all seem OK. It's actually a bit dangerous as I've had a stall out in the middle of a left turn in traffic.

Any thoughts? Thanks again to everyone for weighing in on the clockspring issue
