Default Anyone Looking for a Pristine '95 GTS?

Guys,

I just came across a beautiful creampuff black on black 1995 928 GTS. A friend of mine is selling it, it's owned by a major celebrity.

It has less than 5800 original miles on it. It looks so damn gorgeous it's not even funny. It's an auto tranny, so makes a great daily driver.

He says first $40K takes it.

Email me at racingfiend@yahoo.com if you guys are interested and I will turn you on to my buddy.

Honestly, I am not at liberty to say. Sorry, I have to respect their wishes.

My friend is one of the celebrity's managers. And he is bound by a confidentiality agreement, so please don't ask him.

Well, it's odd to say that it's owned by a "major celebrity" and then not say who it is. If you (or the owner) wants to use the point to make the car more attractive to potential buyers, it should be expected that his/her identity would want to be known.

If it were an A List celebrity then people would be bragging to increase the price.

But my conspiracy gut says its probably.

Because if its a B List actor it devalues the shark. Don't take sherlock holmes to figure that out!!

Regardless of who owned it, that would be THE 928 to buy if one is into automatics.

Hamann:

The bid's at $43,200.00 and the reserve has not been met. Thought you said the first $40K takes it?

It was probably a celebrity in there prime back in 95-96. Now they're career is tanking and they need to sell the toys they bought because the money has run out.

Regardless that is one nice 928.

Hamann, why did you wait until the car went over 40K with "reserve not met" before you mentioned it? Is it still available for the first 40???

Willhoit has been bidding... that guy certainly is a patient vulture.

Why would the guy lie? I think the celeb is just not interested in attracting a lot of people that want to talk to them or see their stuff so much as just find a buyer for the car.

Celebs use celebrity forums (like the big auction houses) to sell stuff if they want to use their celebrity to jack up the price (this is common at Barrett Jackson f'rinstance.)

Conversely, around Silicon Valley where "tech geek" celebrities often sell their toys, they protect their identity to avoid being hassled by fans and people that just want to chat with a celeb, but not really buy whatever is on sale.
