Is this a drain plug?
While I have the coolant out, I want to replace my very corroded right-side drain plug.
Is this (p/n N 029 703 1) it? I'm not certain because PET5 lists this as having a washer, and my drain plugs are conical and don't have washers.
Thanks,
Mark.

Yup..and there is another one on the other side.
Be sure you get a good socket on ther when you undo it. They can be hard to release.
Removing those plugs pretty much gets ALL of the coolant out of the block.
I cant recall if mine had washers..doesnt appear to in the pic above.

There's LOTS of coolant in there so be sure to put plenty of rags under the car because it spills out pretty fast. I could only get one of the 2 drain plugs but so much came out that I was satisfied. The other plug just WOULDNT come out no matter how hard I tried. It is better to get both though. Like previously said, this gets almost ALL the fluid.

A Londoner quoting prices from a California company's catalog. Proof positive that 928 International really is International.
