So it this what an original ‘79 luggage cover should look like or is it the reproduction the PO had made?

Sorry uploading of photos is not working for me today.

I’ve not seen this car in person but I know Randy from my DFW days. He seemed to really take a liking to my Aerokit 996 that I’d bring to the 928 breakfast events. I remember when this car went up for sale and I really wanted to jump on it but didn’t yet have space for it. Beautiful car from a meticulous previous owner.

IIRC this OB is all original except for the stick on side strips (added later and easily removed) and possibly the original tires. I'd bet Zach (a true car collector) has those for stored for safe keeping. Add to that this OB could not be purchased from a more well informed, humble, and respected owner than Randy IMHO.... quite the find T

Yes that is the original luggage cover. The texture and color are unique with only slight patina. The darker color compliments the cork nicely.

I love the originality.....so rare to find an early car with all the original “toys”. A true time capsule. Congrats

I was amazed when I read the odometer! It looks like it just rolled out of the original dealer's showroom! A truly beautiful car, though I am partial to OBs without rub strips. Congrats on getting this one!

Did the cars without the sun roof come with a longer screwdriver insert instead of the speed handle, or is that just for the early model tool kit? Great looking car!!
