Anyone have a single "manhole cover" center cap in aluminum?

I drive my car many days in the summer (no winter/salt).
I have a set of polished manholes.
A good coat of wax does wonders to keep them nice & shiny.
I know aluminum oxidizes almost instantly, but it doesn't seem to affect the appearance in any significant way.

Well, the anodized coating is pretty tough.
There are lots of reports of caustic cleaners taking it off (unintentionally). I'd guess that there's lots of advice out there
Once it's mostly off, sandpaper & polishing compound to get them 'nice'.
Mine were somewhat beat up, although bare aluminum, when I got them.
I used 1000, 1500 & 2500 grit sandpaper, then Mother's polish.
You can get the sandpaper in a "Automotive finish multi-pack" at your FLAPS.
Google found this in about 1/2 a second:
