Default Two oil drain plug torques?

Purely out of curiosity: Can anyone tell me why there are two bolt size and torque values for the oil drain plug listed in the WSM for the 16 valve engine? Did Porsche do a changeover to a different bolt size at some point?

Early ones are just threaded aluminum, at some point they put in a steel thread. Some claim the change was in 80 but some 81's have the old pans.

"Snug" is all you need, crush the new copper washer, nothing more. I've never used a torque wrench on an oil drain plug.

After 12 years of diy oil change... never had a leak, never had a problem with oil plug... just torque.. the hex key is an exact fit, if it feels like it loosened a bit on removal then replace if not put back with new washer... simple...
