Default Sun visor broke... an easy fix?

Ah joy, add to the list of things that need fixin'.....Flipped the ol' visor down yesterday morning and heard a loud click. Apparently there's some internal mechanism which spring-loads the visor in either the "up" or "down" position. Whatever it was it just gave up. Anybody know how to fix this bugger? The visor is absolutely perfect except now it won't stay in the up position anymore.

Don't know if you could actually fix one, but there are usually two or three used sets on Ebay all the time........

Well, you made me go look. I can't tell if there is anything spring loaded in my visor or not. It seems to operate on friction. I did have to replace the clips on the mirror side of the visor as both of mine failed within hours of each other.

You'll just have to drive it on sunny days, which isn't too hard in Santa Barbara.
