I’ve worked on several flip-up wing ‘87s all with ribbed-and-fuel-rail-spacer-needing intakes.

I’m not sure I’ve ever worked on a smooth intake.

My 87 is #2255 and has ribbed fins on intake. This is the car referenced in post #4 which had the f'd up pins installed. New pins did drop right in. Not sure ribbed or non-ribbed intake is a good indicator of smaller holes.

Looks like you used some jbweld to fix them in too? They don't need it - they're held in place by the cam caps.

Finished product.

Dave,
Check your pictures. No ribs on mine.

No, that is HondaBond.

I use JBweld for projects like this:

JBWeld to secure the slip fit on the hot water connection to the heater valve

Arg!,LOL. I distinctly remember checking your S4’s pictures and seeing ribs on the intake. Clearly those red 928s are mixing-up my picture folders when I’m not looking.

Obviously, I either got a joker in your deck or I was looking in the wrong place.

I stand corrected.
