Default 1980 porsche 928 blaupunkt install

This is my first post on this forum. I just recently bought a 1980 928 and this is the radio that came with it. It was not installed or anything it was just in the back seat and the wires were cut. I am trying to figure out what all of the wires are for, and maybe even some help installing it. Thanks!

Welcome- don't see any pictures, can you describe the make and model number of the radio? There may be some rule about new users with low post counts not being able to host and post pics, not sure. The new visitor FAQ may cover this.

Yes, look forward to pics to better help, but assuming it's in working condition, this vintage factory Blaupunkt won't have preamp outputs, just 2-channel speaker output (split into 4channels through fader on the floor by driver's door).

I would run speaker leads to a high level-low level converter, probably one with some eq functions. Then you have pre-amp outputs you can run to modern amp and speakers.
