Default clutch

Hey guys/gals I have a question,

I am thinking about converting my car to a standard, and the clutch late really doesnt seem like a big deal to me, however 1 thought I have had and was wonding if it had ever been talked about before was instead of having a hydrolic clutch would be converting it over to a cable clutch, it will give abit more adjustment for where you like your clutch to grab, a brackt wouldnt be hard to fabricate, and then you wouldnt have to worry about getting it lined up deadly, however a couple things come to mind that might get in the way, #1 the peddle doesnt pull anything it pushes so the pedal would have to be modified to pull instead, also is the firewall strong enough to withstand that for rependitly put on it, will it crack? and the main thing is that the bell housing will have to be cut and the clutch fork will have to be extended,

does someone who knows the standard inside and out in these parts have any suggestions/comments,

also a question for Sterling, how did you attach the clutch bracket in your car? weld or rivots and jbweld?
