Default Cooling Fans after running question.

I just noticed that my cooling fans are no longer running after I shut down. I did a search and the usual problem is that that they run too long. Everything else seems to be ok. The dash temperature gauge and Shaktuner track very closely so I think the temp sensor on the intake should be good. The car is getting hot enough (195-200 F) that they should be staying on.
Thanks for your thoughts.

They will run if the ECU thinks they should.

Everything that fails, will cause them to not turn off generally...mine sometimes stay on, but not always.

Hi Ralph,

What kind of car do you have?

----

S4+ cars have a function that maintains fans at low speed when it detects high intake manifold temp at that switch in the top. There's another switch in parallel in auto trans car that fans the fans on slow when fluid temp exceeds 110ºC. The intake switch isn't waterproof, and like to fail in the closed position after it's been wet. The fans should stop running when the hood switch sees the hood open, or with the two wires disconnected to that temp switch.
