Did I break the comb filter pivot?

I used a screw that was thin and long enough to be sticky compound glued to the socket to assist in installation,
that flat head screw is not going to be easy to hold ,
what is your method of holding the screw?

So, the reason you used this set up was for ease of holding the screw for installation?
Is the washer pump screw a hex head?

My plan was to get a Phillips head steel/magnetic screw and use a magnetic screwdriver.

Other thought is to use the same type screw and JB Weld a nut larger than the screw head
and use that to install?
