Lovely - which one is that?

The guy that used to own my 78' 928 was the prior owner of the Derek Bell car. He also has an SE.

This is the 1987 Manual S4 that I have played with. I need to sell it to restore my new 928 CS.

Justin P. is a nice person, one of the many that I still need to meet

Congratulations for the great work.
Did you weigh the car after all the mods?

Why is my heart beating faster?

Wow! Nice look and performance... The seats are sublime...

Below the Bell car. While the Bell car is superb and a great investment - yours can be driven and enjoyed... Congratulations!

Oh wait, yours has Pasha... You win!

Really looks great. Love the Pascha on the 'Recaro'-esque seats.

I would recommend however, that you rethink the belt setup. Perhaps those are different, but most harnesses are supposed to be mounted closer to horizontal back from the shoulder holes (usually specified in the harness manual).

Thanks for all the responses.

Short video here:

Turn it up loud!!

Car hasn't been weighed but that is on the list of to dos.

Agree re belt position - I inherited that, need to consider options.

The exhaust is just a rear muffler bypass but it does sound very good - not at all boomy.

Weighed the car today - it had around 22 litres of fuel and came in at 1480kg or 3263 lb which, as an utter coincidence, is the weight the Clubsports were quoted at!!

Not bad. The 1480 kg were achieved with the full tanks, but I don't think that many production CSs were so lights. Most production cars were around 1515-1530 kg (with full tanks).

Very nice! Less weight is free horsepower, brakes, and handling.

For comparison only, my stripped-out GT with a full cage weighs in at 2,800 lbs. Your car with a heater, etc, is much more comfortable on the street.

After removing A/C, sunroof, stereo & speakers, your car still weighs 1480 kg even using front seats much lighter than the 2 original anvils, and with a proper rear seat delete?
That still sounds unreasonably heavy to me for a car supposed to make only 330 hp... How heavy is the half cage ?

What else do folks on here believe or know can be further removed or modified to bring the weight closer to 1400 kg while retaining street car levels of usability and comfort ?

It has full carpeting, factory sound deadening, headliner, spare wheel, tools, tyre inflator, door cards etc. Its designed for comfort - was a partially stripped out track car before and I wanted something more usable. If you took all of that out it would no doubt be closer to that figure.
