A/C Reminder
While it was too cold to run the A/C today (79 degrees, sunny and 5mph winds) I did run the A/C for a while. Just because it's winter, don't forget your A/C. It helps the system by running it occasionally.

Great idea, Anthony.
My previous car, a VW Corrado, was sold with inoperative AC. The cause? Dead compressor. They wanted something like $1000 to get the system working. The tech at the AC shop told me it most likely failed from lack of use, since I prefer to roll the windows down.
I like to turn my AC compressor on until the temperature gauge reaches the first tick. With the fan at minimum, it doesn't freeze you out and it helps the car warm up. I do this on the first drive of the day every day that I drive the car. The purpose is to move the lubricant through the system.

That means I have to start the car.
So far I've been lucky with the 928. I know the AC has never been worked on since 91. Every year stored for about 5 months, the AC never turned on. It blows ice cold (knock on wood) My 944? died 6 months after I bought it.
