Default Fact or fiction...OXS Signal wire

All -

Is the OXS signal wire (green wire - not the heating element) on my '83S shielded or not? When I disconnect the connector beside the CE panel, it appears on inspection that it is a 1-conductor wire [with no shielding] soldered to the pin in the middle. Would make sense as it is 3-wires in all to the sensor, so no terminal for the shield to attach to.

Thanks -

The green wire to the oxygen sensor is a shielded wire.

The shield probably connects to the shell rather than via the connector, unless it happens to share with the earth side of the heating element. Ideally, low-level analog signal shields are grounded at the source (sensor) end, and stay open the rest of the way to avoid ground loops and associated noise.
