Default Power Steering Pump Fittings

Roger Tyson or anyone who can answer. The barb on the suction side banjo fitting of my power steering pump is significantly smaller that the ID of the hose. I doubt Roger sent me the wrong hose, so do I need a different fitting or is it normal?

Porsche recently superseded the hose part number and increased the price significantly. Was 928 347 445 05 and now 06 and $49.
The part is also NLA from OEM sources other than Porsche.
Sean at 928DOCS is also having the same issue.
I will keep you updated on progress.

I prefer to change the banjo rather than the hose, since it is less restrictive and I'm looking for more assist.

So we have a hose ID of 14.5 mm and a banjo spigot at 13.3 mm - no workey.

Yep. Whoever is supplying these hoses to Porsche goofed up. The hose is less rigid, the holes are not formed well and the wall thickness is not linear. Found this out a couple weeks ago when using it for another application and compared them to ones I had bits of old stock I have left over.

Looks like Porsche issued a bulletin when they SS the hose part number.
I ordered the banjo to double check it did not change.

I received the new banjo bolt and the OD is the same at 13.5mm.
I will file a PTech with Porsche but do not hold your breath that something will happen quickly.
We need to find a short term workaround.
Any ideas anyone?

I think if I cut off the flare it will be ok, but I won't get to it until Saturday.

The flare part is for the reservoir so you will need that. The entire ID of the hose is wrong along the entire length. Big screw up by Porsche.

Yeah, I had to go look again. Now I'm really stuck. I wonder if I can cut the banjo off the HP line? I'll measure it tomorrow. Hate jury rigging something so hard to get at though.

I ordered an in stock hose from Pelican. Hopefully it's an old one.

Probably old stock - what was the part number on the hose? The 05 fitted but the new 06 does not. All the 10 hoses we had in stock were over size by 1mm. Still waiting for Porsche to replace them.
Glad you found one to fix the issue.
