930S Steering Wheel upgrade
After driving some newer cars, including my Wife's 323i with the sport package, I was looking for a better wheel for the 928.
I finally settled on the 930S upgrade wheel kit. It looks like it was made for the car and in my opinion looks a lot better than some of the lower end stuff that costs just as much. This wheel is full leather, even on the horn pad and you can have the small crest added for about $30.00. I think the whole deal was like $275.00
Install was simple and took only 20 minutes, though I did have to use my old horn pick-up ring. These wheels are on sale now and used to be over $400.00 The feel of the wheel is much nicer than the original 3 spoke unit.
So why is it the Italians are best at making those curvy shifters and steering wheels anyway?

I've been looking at both of these for a replacement. I'm having a hard time deciding between these two wheels. I have the MOMO shift **** but either would look great.

I'll see if I can get a picture next week. I like the fact that this is basically a factory part with the inherent features of the original wheel in terms of mounting and safety.

That would be the one! Nice chioce, because you will need it when you drop all that power to the road, though right now I suppose Gretch is Frozen solid in Franconia Notch. Such a shame the Old Man fell down last year. I actually grew up in Amherst, NH
Anyway, thanks for posting the picture it looks really cool with your newer interior as well.

Gretch is in my heated shop for the winter. She is probably warmer than I am. The Notch is about a 20 minute drive from MT Washington, and it is minus 28 there right now.......
The old man was only a pile of rocks. Believe me, the only people in NH who care about that are the public service employees who got paid to go play up there. The rest of us are happy not to be wasteing tax money on such silliness. "Live free of die", baby

I still miss NH, now I live in the Dirty Midwest and there is jack *hit to do for outside activities, unless you like water skiing in the septic tank they call the Ohio river. I'll take Winnepesaukee any time over this.

John, Not to go off on the rest of the states, but NH is the rare "free america" part of this country. I hunt, hike, farm, sled, ski, trap, fish, boat and can ride a motorcycle with out a helmet (should I choose) and drive a car without insuring it (should I choose) as well as purchase and carry firearms on my person with no more requirements than a valid driver's license. Low crime (an armed society is a polite society) low cost of living, low level of government regulation and cops who are part of the community and respect the people they serve. That is why I moved here and why this is my home, despite the weather.
I know, I sound like a rabid patriot.............I am.
PS John, maybe it is where you live that causes you to be such a cranky old bastard.... oh Yeah that is right, "the bastard" is the CARS name.........

Old, I'm only 33! Trust me, I know all about the "freedom" up there. I disagree about the cops statement though, because I was thoroughly harrassed by both Milford and State Troopers in NH.

Pelican Parts sells them as well, and I think they are less on there. Now, I can drive my car to the White Mountians with a "PHAT" wheel to harrass Gretch out of hibernation!
