1986.5 Splash Guards Recommendation
I have a 200 yard gravel driveway and looking to put on some splash guards to keep my fresh paint nice. I looked on 928 International and Ebay but only found cheap guards- any recommendations for both fronts and back? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions. I wanted the guards to stop any mud or dust behind the wheels- tired of wiping them off- but the 3M option will protect the lower panels. Ebay here I come!

Just don't use the 3m spray on paint defender stuff. I put that on the front bumper of my charger in october after having it repainted and after about 6 months it started looking all cloudy and nasty.
Here's what it looked like partially removed. That's as clean as it would get. It took a couple weeks of working at it a little bit each day to get it all off with a plastic scraper (it wouldn't peel).
Looked pretty bad from a distance too.

If you go with the 3m film, you should check with whoever is installing it to make sure it is ok on Non Factory paint. When I had the front end of my Cayman covered they told me they would only guarantee it could be removed without damaging the paint if it was all Factory paint.

Here's a picture of the genuine parts Mudflaps, these one's are fitted to an S4 and don't look right as they were initially designed for the earlier cars without the lower bodywork cladding, when fitted to the early cars they take the shape of the lower fender and don't stick out toward the wheel like the one pictured and look much better, as for S4 don't fit these !

9two8- your right they look odd., like a cheap aftermarket. I'm just surprised there aren't any good aftermarket flaps that will fit. I only want a short and narrow flap to keep with the beautiful lines of the car.

I recently fitted a pair of these to the two lower rear quarters of mine, not quite "mudflaps" but they do deflect stones etc.
