Hi Guy's I have a 82 and 84 and both cars came from Illinois. So no front plate. Can you guy's show some pic's of your mounting ideas or what Porsche uses for a bracket? I see nothing in the search.
Trimmed the license plate to fit on the front and then hand formed it to the bumper contour. It is mounted using 3M VHB double sided tape. No holes in my cover. This is the same amount of plate that shows when mounted in some vanity brackets so no violation there. Plus the material I trimmed of contained no information. I could have done a better job cleaning up the edges but it looks real good from 20 ft.
Part # 928.701.950.00 is for the front bracket with mounting hardware.

Nate,
BadA$$ Dude, I like it!! Any hassles yet?

Thanks Dave. No issues. Been daily driving it for two summers. I've actually seen guys with vinyl reproductions of license plates stuck on the front of their exotics around town here. I think you'd get a nice little violation for that if a cop was so inclined. As for mine, I checked the Washington State's RCWs and didn't see any law disallowing the deformation of the license plate. As long as it's mounted and visible, you are good.

Very nice. You could glue a couple of bolt heads into the right and left hole on the plate. ;-)
Have been and lived all over this country with no front license plate for the last 48+ years and it's never been an issue. Have filled many holes for the desired effect. T
