Default S4 TIMING BELT-HEADLIGHT GROUND CABLE

The Philips head screw for the drivers side headlight ground on my 89 S4 is rusted and stripping.
Without removal I can't get new belt on.
Do I try to drill it out, or leave the connection alone and cut cable, later splicing or maybe adding a connector?
Not sure what gage the wire is.
suggestions?

That is not a headlight grounding screw. That is the 12V power cable to the ABS. Make sure your battery is disconnected before you try to disconnect.
