Injectors were clogged in the process of cleaning them, I see some rust and wondering the best way to clean them. Also want to verify injector hose size is 7mm I’d and 13mm Od haveing a hard time finding locally most carry 8mm.

Only use the correct N 020 281 1 fuel hose for this job. Other sizes and material fuel hoses will slip right off the barbs and cause a leak.

Take your pick https://www.google.com/search?q=N+02...hrome&ie=UTF-8
Pelican has it among others. It is sold by the meter and you only need 1 to do the job.
Just cut them to 55mm lengths and install them on the injectors and then the fuel rail. It's a really tight fit so I recommend using soapy water on the hose.

Porsche Part Numbers
Porsche part numbers for hardware and “commodity” parts are like this, with no model prefix. Get some from any of our suppliers. You’ll need a couple feet, as you figure out that sliding it into a piece of tubing then cutting with a razor blade gives you nice square ends. If you don’t have a hose cutter.

I need to know why I should use clamps on the injector hose, I saved the hats and Roger has the correct hose on the way. The car is original with 30k miles and don’t want to alter its stock appearance.

I saw a mechanic make a solution of sorghum molasses and distilled water( maybe a whole jar of molasses to a gallon of water) and drop a pretty rusted piece of metal from a 1962 Lincoln into the solution. I actually thought he was just screwing with me, but he said, no, just be patient. 2 days later, he pulled a bright shiny piece out of the solution with no apparent rust.
Who knows, maybe that will work for you?
I just googled up "sorghum molasses as a rust remover" and it verifies what I have posted here.

I did all these hoses on my '84 last year. Contact Roger at 928sRus. He has the hose you need. Lots of debate on here about whether to use clamps or reuse the ferrel hats on each end of the hose. I decided to reuse the hats.

The correct hose won't come off easily. It was suitable for Porsche so I think doing it the way the factory did it will be fine for the next 20 years.

The point being FORCING the hose into the lip of the seal, can cut it.
You feel smarter than they guy that put the hose there 30yrs ago?
This is why the RIGHT size hose, the right length, works, and why that lip on the ends is why it is.
And why doing any of those things wrong, is a leaking hose.
There is no insurance if the original design didnt want it..for good reasons. Looking safer, isnt the same as safer,.
