My rear wiper motor despite rebuilding doesnt have the strength to move the blades.
Is an upgrade possible. Will a motor from any other car fit ? Porsche price for a new one(about $650)just doesnt stack up on a cost/benefit basis.

What is causing the problem? If your rebuilt motor is simply too weak, maybe a decent used one from 928 International would do the trick?

I live in Ireland and plenty of used ones on ebay here but I'm concerned that I might just be buying another dud.
I had the same problem with my old window motors but discovered on this forum that Saab motors were an excellent substitute and bought two new ones for very small money.
Was hoping that I could find a similar resolution to this problem.

It is really not a common failure mode (motor) so used is a reasonable option. Most commonly issues are with the linkage - are you sure you fixed that so it isn't binding?
Generally motors either work or not electrically - if they seem weak its usually an associated mechanical issue... I'd be looking there - either in the motor (bearings or gears) or in the linkage (binding, slipping etc).
