The Harerty prices are about 15K more now than they were then.

It has 72,000 miles. 1000 miles ago drilled the piston oil scraper grooves relief holes. Refreshing rings, bearings, gaskets etc. Pistons and cylinders were within specs. Only wear was rings and bearings.
Tought I would recover from the nail when I had it done.

Put in GT cams. Talked to a lot of people and consensus was GT as most aggresive and still keep the factory springs and valves without issues. [edit] And rods. Not sure if you have R2 rods. From my research prior to installing S3 cams, I'm told (as you state) even if original rods are in place, it is not a problem with engine in present configuration. [end edit]

olmann, welcome any time. Work from home and am there except around lunch Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

If you want to call and ask questions or just chat, four o five, eight 1 nine, 5 three o five.
Additionally, I don't see the car listed in the "928 FS" thread above nor in the vehicle marketplace nor member to member classified. I think this car deserves wide circulation and if you are serious at least a firm number here. No harm in starting high.

Have been warned so will pick a price so people know what these are going for.
Will just put down the Hagerty price for Excellent condition of $86,000.
That is a steal, for the much desired color.

Have not listed yet in the for sale secton or anywhere else, not because it isn't a great car.
Thought I would give the fellow Rennlist 928ers a shot at her before I go public with the listings.
A warning, as I get an opportunity will take some fresh pics and put everything together I may become more monetarily attached.

I will remove the jump post cover so nay sayers will be able to find fault.

There are 4 Iris Blue US GTSs. 1 Auto and 3 5-speeds. 3 of the 4 are accounted for on Rennlist. One of the 5-speeds is in my signature. OhBehave has the Auto. The ‘missing’ 5-speed is (rumored to be) a body damage salvage title.

Can no longer enjoy a traditional manual transmission, and feel someone should.
That really sucks. If face-to-face I’d try to convince you otherwise.

You should get it picture ready and put it on BaT.

worf928,

I agree that one of the 4 Iris Blue cars was destroyed and parted out. I have the torque tube from it in my outlaw GT. Still have the shifter in my "spares inventory".

The car was a 93 5 Spd with a grey interior and Sport Seats. 72k on it when it went airborne and took a massive hit under the front suspension/oil pan etc. Car was auctioned off as parts on eBay by (National Recyclers?) and I bought a few other parts from it. Last time I saw it, it was picked clean to the body shell. I think it was around 2004-5 that this happened.

So this is one of three surviving Iris Blue GTS's...

Very Desirable!

I believe you’re thinking Cobalt Blue.

The 1 of 1 Cobalt ‘93 5-speed was a right-front hit and was parted-out ‘round these parts. iSpeed and I picked a lot of good parts off it. He got the brakes. I got various other bits. I offered what was, at the time, a very-slightly lowball number for the tranny and engine with ‘puters. They took my offer but then got scared and backed out.
