Random cycling of power door locks on 85'. How do i stop it?!
Typical problem I know but where do I look first? Locks randomly cycle on and off while I am driving. Central lock button hasn't worked since I owned the car. Driver's door lock doesn't work at all but passenger side operates both locks and so does interior **** on driver's door. Where do I look first?

If by driver's door lock doesn't work you mean turning the key doesn't lock it, that is probably the root of your troubles. Something is physically not aligned on that side. The car is trying to lock the doors, that physical impediment is not allowing it, and the system is cycling. The lock's 'computer' is under the driver side center console carpeted panel - unplugging that will stop the lock cycling until you can get the door locks alinged and working perfectly.

First and easiest thing to do is check the fuses for the door locks There are two 400ma Fuses behind the Fuse/Relay Panel for the Central Door Locks. Look on the top of the fuse panel on the rear edge should be 2 inline fuse holders clipped in place. Part number for fuses are 900.321.002.90
Hope that helps,
